Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (G&W) has appointed Thomas Savage chief financial officer and Sarah Greene, senior vice president and controller.

Savage previously was SVP of corporate development and treasurer. Since joining G&W in 2005, he has worked in finance and merger and acquisitions. He has been responsible for the company's treasury functions since 2012.

Greene previously served as VP and corporate controller, a position she assumed in 2016. She joined G&W in 2006 as controller of financial reporting and analysis.

Savage and Greene succeed Timothy Gallagher and Christopher Liucci, respectively, who departed G&W following its sale to Brookfield Infrastructure and GIC, which resulted in G&W becoming a private company.

"These promotions recognize Tom's and Sarah's outstanding contributions to G&W over the past 15 years and are consistent with our succession plans," said G&W Chief Executive Officer Jack Hellmann in a press release. "Their deep experience and energy will deliver a seamless transition from T.J. Gallagher and Chris Liucci, who we thank for their many contributions to G&W and wish all the best going forward."
