IANA launches new web tool for potential customers

The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) has created a new resource on its website to assist prospective intermodal users and customers new to the industry, the association announced yesterday.

The Intermodal Freight Resource Center offers educational tools, industry and research information. The "What is Intermodal" page provides an overview of intermodal's scope and benefits from the association's perspective.

Other sections include network and terminal information, data and statistics, a glossary of industry terms, studies, and links to related organizations.

IANA President and Chief Executive Officer Joni Casey described the new resource as a "showcase" for intermodal service.

"It's an organic project that will continue to be enhanced over time," she added.
