NS honors North Shore Railroad as 'Short Line of the Year'

North Shore Railroad Co. (NSHR) was recognized as the Short Line of the Year at the Norfolk Southern Short Line Convention held in Virginia late last month.Based in Northumberland, Pa., NSHR also received two NS 250(2) Business Initiative Awards for its Lycoming Valley Railroad and Union County Industrial Railroad, according to an NSHR press release."We truly appreciate our partnership with NS and are humbled by this recognition," said NSHR Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Jeb Stotter.Tomorrow, NSHR will celebrate its awards at Front Street Station in Northumberland.
