Stephen Hoye has been named vice president of its Pacific Harbor Line (PHL) effective early next month.

Hoye will join the PHL from The Belt Railway Co. of Chicago, where he has been a superintendent since 2011.

He also has served as director of the Chicago Transportation Coordination Office (CTCO) team since 2014. The team oversees day-to-day performance and planning affecting 14 different carrier traffic flows operating in and out of the nation's largest rail hub.

"Steve is a welcome addition to PHL. His leadership skills and extensive rail knowledge will help enhance our terminal operations, customer service and safety," said PHL President Otis Cliatt in a press release.

Hoye has 24 years of rail experience. In 1993, he began as a clerk-yardmaster-programmer at CSX Intermodal at Bedford Park, Ill. He advanced to operations manager, terminal manager for CSX Transportation at Riverdale, Ill., and was named operations manager CSX Intermodal, Chicago, in 2002.

In 2003, Hoye joined The Belt Railway of Chicago as manager terminal operations/trainmaster at Bedford Park. He later served as assistant director and director of agency and customer service.

Hoye is immediate past president of the American Association of Railroad Superintendents.
