The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) earlier this week began offering Travel Wallet, a contactless fare payment option, for regional rail riders.

Travel Wallet allows single-trip riders to activate their fares by tapping their SEPTA Key fare cards at a platform or turnstile validator.

Riders who use the contactless option will also receive a discounted rate, SEPTA officials said in a press release.
