STM to upgrade Outremont Station

The Societe de transport de Montreal (STM) last week announced the agency in November will begin a major project to refurbish the Outremont metro station. 

The CA$53 million project will include installation of three elevators, replacement of the roof, structural improvements, the addition of a natural ventilation shaft and electric equipment upgrades.

To facilitate the work, Outremont Station will be closed from January 2022 to August 2022. Construction will be completed in December 2023, STM officials said in a press release.

STM will host a virtual information session regarding the project on Oct. 26.
