Lorraine Cunningham has been named chair of TransLink's board, effective Jan. 1, 2017.

First appointed to the agency's board in 2013, she is president and chief executive officer of the Cunningham Group, a Vancouver-based entrepreneurial investment group.

In addition, Cunningham chairs the Pacific Pilotage Authority, a Canadian Crown corporation that provides marine pilotage and other services in the coastal waters of British Columbia.

"Lorraine's years of experience as a director, coupled with her extensive knowledge of the transportation industry, will continue to serve the board well as she assumes her new role as chair," said outgoing chair Don Rose in a press release.
