Valley Metro names Hodgins chief financial officer

Valley Metro's boards last week unanimously approved Paul Hodgins as the agency's chief financial officer.

Hodgins has served as the interim CFO since June.

Throughout his career at Valley Metro, Hodgins has managed functional areas such as federal grants and programming, financial planning, debt and investment management, as well as leading fare collection system implementation and fare policy.

In 1994, Hodgins joined the agency as manager of operations, according to his LinkedIn profile.

"With Paul and his finance team in place, the agency will continue on its path of strong fiscal oversight and integrity, which has helped to build and enhance transit for our riders and communities," said Scott Smith, Valley Metro's chief executive officer.
