Valley Metro taps Young to manage accessible transit services

image Valley Metro has hired Thomas Young as manager of accessible transit services. He is tasked with ensuring the agency provides riders safe, convenient and comfortable services that are accessible to and usable by all, Valley Metro officials said in a press release. Young has more than 35 years of management experience in public transportation and social services. Previously, he was interim assistant general manager of bus operations at the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. He is also a former elected official, previously serving as port commissioner for the Port of Hoodsport in Washington.
