imageVossloh AG announced yesterday it will supply special trackwork (turnouts) to CN under a new multiyear agreement. This latest contract follows the signing in April of a long-term framework supply agreement calling for Vossloh to supply concrete ties to CN. The concrete tie agreement is with Vossloh's Tie Technologies business unit, which was acquired in early 2017. A new production site will be built in western Canada for the ties to be delivered, Vossloh officials said in a press release. The framework agreement for special trackwork was concluded by Vossloh's Customized Modules division. One of Vossloh's existing locations will expand capacity to respond to the contract, company officials said."With these agreements we succeeded to establish a new long-term relationship with a strategically important and trusted partner," said Vossloh Chief Executive Officer Andreas Busemann. "This is a significant step to strengthen Vossloh's position in our focus market sustainably and supports the expected upswing of our business in North America."Vossloh did not reveal the financial value of the agreements.
